The summons on the left, dated 10 June 1944, instructs all local authority finance employees to submit written details of all Jewish property by 16 June. On the right is the Budapest mayoral decree of 16 June 1944. This required all those defined as Jews to make a full inventory of their property (furniture, equipment, clothing, underwear, bedding, tableware, kitchen equipment and all other articles at home) to be submitted in three copies by 21 June to the building owner or concierge.
